When importing a CSV with a manager column, the manager must already exist and be enabled* in ideiio core which may affect how you do your import, perhaps working in several stages.

The manager field requires an Identity ID (sometimes referred to as an IGA ID) which is a GUID/UUID. In v5.1 and later you can configure an API setting which will allow you to choose use primary email address, employee number, authentication dn or uniqueid, and when you send a value there that matches a single identity the ID of that identity will be used automatically. This same setting applies to CSV import too.

* v2023.04 can allow a manager with a disabled status if configured to do by a system administrator. The normal setting is to allow only managers with an active status.
